Young Magazine commemorated its 35th year with the release of “New INITIAL D the Movie Legend 2-Racer” in cinemas all over Japan from 23rd May 2015. The hidden heart of a street racer reveals itself in all of us during the many famous scenes in “Legend 2”. Although its cultural roots are in Japan, anyone who watches the epic mountain ridge racing battle scene will feel the sweat on their hands. This year also marks 15 years since the launch of the revolutionary Kyosho MINI-Z Series that brought real car action into small indoor spaces. To commemorate this milestone, the “INITIAL D Series” released in 2006 we will be relaunched in late July with the “Kyosho MINI-Z AWD Sports Series”. With the cooperation of Shuichi Shigeno/Kodansha:2014 “New INITIAL D the Movie” production committee and “Shuichi Shigeno/Kodansha:2015 New INITIAL D” L2 production committee, the “MINI-Z Drift Challenge the Movie” contest will be held. Record a video or take a photo of your drift technique! Use a video camera, smartphone, mobile phone or tablet!
Unbelievable! The winning video from the movie category (1 winner selected from either Cinematic or Drift Technique Sections) will be included in the bonus content on the INITIAL D Legend 2: Racer DVD, and the winner of the Photo Category will be presented with an enlarged copy of an original Shuichi Shigeno illustration.
