Featuring the latest racing specifications, the Ultima RB5 represents the ultimate in pure 2WD racing buggies. Designed without compromise from the ground up to build the best racing buggy chassis possible. Design writes new rules for the motor shaft, transmission (with 2nd gear reduction) center shaft and the motor positioning near the differential. A low center of gravity, restriction of rotating moment, high agility, and ease of control while producing sharp response, are all realized at the highest level. The adoption of the double slipper clutch proven to great effect in the Lazer ZX-5 allows precision friction setting for optimal traction. Sharp pick up response produces a linear throttle feel that gives you the confidence to take it to the limit in the heat of the race. Setting and maintenance-friendly features cannot be underrated, such as the adjustment of differential effect by simply inserting a wrench into the shaft’s lock ball and rotating the tire, and steering adjustment by changing a spacer to adjust Ackerman. Going to win 2WD buggy races is a whole lot easier with the sharpest machine around!

The combination of hardened bulkheads and pliable suspension mounts absorbs shocks from the ground but still produces rigidity through the steering. Also the wheel design features built-in ball bearings in the hubs that enable fast wheel changes.

  

The active suspension and the ultra smooth shafts in the 3-section structure of the oil shocks realize optimal ground tracing from low to high speeds. Cornering is superb as is grip during chassis roll to provide excellent control characteristics.

  

Revised positioning of the center shaft and transmission with motor positioned closer to the axle delivers improved movement. Teflon coating of all ball bearings also increases durability and dirt-resistance.

Specially designed body produces ideal aerodynamic effects through the speed range. Hollowed section in front screen results in effective downforce.

  

Equipped with double slipper clutch and specially designed clutch shoe. This combines with the high setting of the 2nd reduction ratio to produce sharp pick up and smooth traction transfer. The result is excellent control on many different surfaces.

  

Three modular sections of the chassis lets you get to what you need fast for easier maintenance and setting. Recommended for use with a 12T motor for the best results.
