The Ryan PT-20 was developed after hostilities broke out in WWII as the U.S. Army’s primary flight trainer. After the war, it was remade into the STA single seat sports plane, which is the original version of this model. This R/C scale version reproduces the STA’s renowned stability and maneuverability for easy-to fly characteristics that allow you to develop your flying technique from basic skills through to light stunts. The airplane is almost completely pre-assembled, only requiring the main wing halves to be joined, the tail wing to attached, and the R/C system and motor to be loaded. Among other maintenance-friendly features that make your flying experience as enjoyable as it should be, this electric powered version allows battery changes to be made easily through a hatch in the top of the nose section. The versatile flight capabilities of the RYAN STA allow you to grace the skies in relaxed and calm style, or experience the excitement of sharp sports flying action.

Almost completely pre-assembled. Pre-covered in high-quality color film that replicates the two-tone top and checkered patterned underside of the original RYAN STA.

  

Split structure of the pre-painted spats and wheel pants absorb the shock of take-offs and landings without sacrificing scale appearance.

  

Lightweight and high-strength blue anodized aluminum motor mount is compatible with 600-800W brushless motors.

Battery changes can be made without detaching the main wing due to the battery room accessible through a hatch in the nose section. Features user-friendly magnetic lock.

  

Spacious radio room is large enough to fit various battery shapes and allows precise adjustment of the center of gravity.

  

Rudder-connected tailwheel provides free taxing control on the ground. Enhances the enjoyment of scale flight before and after take-off and landing. FRP parts recreate the realistic finished.

Scale characteristics are immaculately recreated in great detail including the subtle curves of the rear fuselage and the rubber pipes around the cockpit. *Pilot figure not included.
