About the PORSCHE 911 GT3

The spartan 911 model was regarded as being the closest road car to the race circuit. The first GT3 appeared with a de-tuned version of the factory works engine that ruled the 1998 Le Mans 24 hour race in a street version of the 911 sold in 1990. But it was a limited edition so only a small number of lucky owners could taste the exciting driving experience. However, the revolutionary 997 platform of the 911 was launched as a catalog model in 2006.
