The 2013 1/8 Off-Road Buggy European Championships were held this past weekend at Reims Enduro Model Car in Reims, France.
Kyosho would be going into this years Euros with one of their strongest Teams to date with: David Ronnefalk, Elliot Boots, Jerome Aigoin, and Christoffer Svensson to name a few.
After laying down very fast runs in timed practice, Ronnefalk was looking to carry his momentum into qualifying.
Ronnefalk did just that and would take the overall TQ for the event by TQ'ing 3 out of the 5 rounds!
Ronnefalk then put in a great performance during the 30-Minute Semi by taking the Win and setting the fastest time from both Semi's to start on the pole. Aigoin would start 8th, Boots 10th, and Svensson 12th for the 1-Hour A-Main Event.
Throughout the A-Main Event, Ronnefalk showed the same speed he had all week long. David would handle countless attacks from his competitors but stayed calm and collected. Lightning fast pit stops were provided by his Father Pierre and Team Orion's Adrien Bertin throughout the Main that kept David on his hard to match pace. With 1 lap to go and the Championship on the line, Ronnefalk laid down a steller lap to take his first 1/8 Off-Road Buggy European Championship! Savoya finished a close an impressive 2nd overall with Martin Bayer rounding out the podium in 3rd.
Kyosho once again showed their dominance this weekend by having twice as many cars in the A-Main than any other manufacturer with 4!
