Report from specialist RC magazine journalists 「R/C WORLD」 Mr. Masahiro Yamahana

High level running performance and exquisite weight balance give the popular Half-8 Mini-Inferno its freedom and agility, and now it's loaded with a real racing engine!

I've been driving gas powered models for the last few years, and to tell the truth, if I can't hear the sound of an exhaust when I'm driving, its just doesn't feel right. For me the simultaneous worldwide release on November 1st of the compact sized GP off-road Mini-Inferno was something I was looking forward to. Due to my personal interest, I was quite excited about the chance to participate in the monitor trial and test the limits of its performance.

As a replica of the fastest off-road machine in the world, we felt it was important for R/C World as one of the world's leading RC magazines, to fully test the Mini-Inferno 09's potential at a GP off-road track. For this purpose we received special permission from the owner of the GP off-road Mecca, the SS Hobby Circuit to conduct our trial.
Firstly, we inserted 8 AA-size batteries in the transmitter and charged up the receiver battery ... and our pre-run prep was done! This is a pre-assembled kit with R/C system installed so all that's required now is fuel in the tank. The engine started easily and idling was very stable and needle adjustment was a breeze. Normally small type engines are a little sensitive to adjust, but this SIRIO 09 is so easy even first time GP car owners will have no problem what so ever.

For the break-in, the needle is set slightly rich at first. While running, I screwed the needle in little by little, but was blown away by the incredible speed and rough-road stability of the suspension. Normally a small size machine on a dedicated 1/8 off-road circuit gets boring, but this Mini-Inferno 09 was totally different. I can imagine how much fun it would be to race this machine against a group of friends.

Setting adjustments could also be made for improved performance. Slow speed corners on a 1/8 circuit become high-speed corners for the Mini-Inferno, so relevant adjustments were made. Before we knew it, we had lost track of time and ended up spending the whole day driving the Mini-Inferno 09.

It's no understatement to say that the Mini-Inferno GP is an excitement machine. We encourage everyone to try it out and experience the awesome sound of this little monster.

The Mini-Inferno 09 doesn't leave you with that empty feeling when you run a big track. This little masterpiece can be recommended to everyone from beginners to top-level drivers!

Engine starts like a dream and the needle setting is so easy. This machine is so simple to run, anyone can use it, which is one of the features of the Mini-Inferno series.

Cut the pin spikes off the standard tires included to produce milder control on high-speed circuits. The wide variety of special tires available provides plenty of scope for setting changes.

The kit also features parts for setting changes such as C-Hubs, suspension blocks and shock spacers, so you can quickly and easily make adjustments.

Change the rear suspension block to C-type. This increases toe-angle and improves traction on high-speed layouts. The C-hubs prevent the back half rolling up and standard 20 degrees is chosen.

The Mini-Inferno 09 produces great running performance and consistently fast lap times even on big layouts dedicated to 1/8 racing. Handy sized GP machine is great for racing your mates anytime, anywhere.

With the DNA from the world dominating Inferno, The Mini-Inferno 09 has what it takes to rip up any GP off-road layout!
