Monitor Report 4 [Male, 33, from Nara, 15 years RC experience]

"My first impression was amazement at how the engine had been squeezed into such a confined space.
The more you look at it the more it seems like it was made by a genius.
Even with a small engine the chassis balance was excellent and the 09-class engine seemed more like a 12-class.

As I normally drive GP touring cars the engine was of particular interest to me. That's why I took out the engine and disassembled it for a closer look. I was impressed - just what I expected from SIRIO.
And a rear exhaust in this size - pure genius.

I didn't notice at first because I was focused on the engine, but the rear section and main chassis were connected with a torque rod...
Even the front had a torque rod... Cool, very cool!
But the servo seemed small, I wondered if it could handle the GP power, but then realized that it used aluminum gears. I felt I could push it hard without any problems.
The design covers all areas.

However, that doesn't mean there weren't some areas that I was concerned with, such as the apparent play around the wheels. I could see some forward-back movement.
Anyway, I'll adjust with my own shims after I finish break-in.

The starter feels really good.
Very solid.
The instruction manual says that the Multi Starter Box 2.0 can be used, but recommends the specially designed starter for the Mini-Inferno's size.
It's also compact and easy to carry.

The above is what I felt when I opened the box.

Now for the break-in. Just a little nervous.
I normally drive an FW-05 with a SIRIO engine and remember the break-in being quite difficult so I put some effort into the preparation.
Fuel in the tank, linkages all set, start the engine.
Amazing - started first time without a stutter!!!
This is the easiest first start for an engine I've ever experienced.
I followed the break-in instructions and screwed the needle in as per the manual.
Break-in complete.
How easy was that! Even someone who hasn't touched a model before could handle this.
After my first run, the overwhelming impression is of small size but incredible power.
For the break-in, I just ran the machine in a vacant lot nearby, but it was easy to see the excellent stability that would cover rougher terrain without any problem.
This was my first off-road run in a long time, and what a fun and relaxing ride it was too.
I had an unbelievably good time driving the Mini-Inferno."

Engine started easily to begin the break-in.

Mini-Inferno 09 runs over flat dirt. 3-year old son in control.
