So you went with the same combination that had succeeded at the World Championships.
Higashino :
That's right. We had a lot of support from within the company to develop a successful machine. I made numerous trips to Star Motor in Italy to work through details and adjustments. Star Motor are dedicated experts in model engine manufacture so they were always ahead in the design of an engine that produced the ideal power characteristics.
WEB：
But this product also needs to be easy to handle doesn't it?
Higashino :
Yes, you're right again. There is no established race category for this size buggy yet so its used mostly for backyard or parking lot use. It also has to be a handy size and easy to use, but with performance to meet the demands of expert racers. In order to get that performance, the chassis has to be lightweight.

Was one of the reasons the SIRIO engine?
Higashino :
We intentionally loaded a pure racing engine without a recoil starter. The engine uses a standard ABC construction sleeve, but with special size glow plug and slide carburetor to realize performance of the highest level but is still easy to operate.  Just like 1/8 racing buggies, a starter box is needed, but the Readyset already includes this so beginners get the best performance plus usability. Special design features include the lower section of the crankcase that allows the engine to be fixed directly to the chassis without mounts and other features that allow the engine to be produced accurately in large numbers. Due to this, a true racing engine could be delivered at a value price.

I've heard rumors of its amazing performance. How true are they?
Higashino :
The Mini Inferno 09 has blown away everyone who has seen it. It has incredible speed, but is also very controllable. A smaller size is no excuse for lower performance. If it carries the Inferno name, there is no second best when it comes to performance and quality!
