The road to creation for the Mini Inferno 09. Successful collaboration with SIRIO. Jiro Higashino

WEB:
But it seems tough as well.

Higashino :
We want people to enjoy the Mini Inferno's great performance for a long time. Smaller models are thought to suffer wear and tear faster. Its true that smaller materials have reduced durability. But from the beginning of development, we have focused on delivering a very study product. You may not be able to see it from the outside, but no compromise has been made in this area such as metal gears, metal bearings and a specially designed fuel tank. Even the servos have metal gears. Just because its smaller, we haven't thought to compromise on anything. Especially as its packaged as a Readyset, people probably can't notice these things, but if they pull it apart they will be amazed as what's inside. 1/8 buggy owners are particularly surprised. Usually a smaller models will leave out many components components used in the larger version, but not with the Mini Inferno.

WEB:
So this machine has similar setting options to the 1/8 class?

Higashino :
It goes without saying that basic settings like king pin angle, caster, toe-in and out are possible. Setting for other aspects like the geometry and transmission as well as shock settings etc. are also possible. Learning how to set this model up is the perfect preparation for moving up to 1/8 buggy racing.

WEB:
Do you have any advice for owners of the Mini Inferno 09?

Higashino :
The SIRIO engine generates amazing power output that combines perfectly with the high-performance of the chassis so you can push this machine to the limit with confidence. But to realize this, you first need to break-in the engine. Its not difficult. Do not screw in the needle too far and run a rich mixture (not too rich that the engine keeps stopping) through the engine for 2 or 3 tanks. Gradually screw in the needle to increase power output during the next 2 or 3 tanks (screw needle in after each tank) until you have found the peak power output. The design makes needle setting easy so even beginners can hear the engine tone change. There should be nothing else to worry about. Get used to driving an engine powered buggy little by little and practice with your friends so you can share setting techniques. This will produce good results on the day you turn up to race.
