Analysis of insights with one of Japan's representative drivers!

The first time I've felt like adjusting the set up of a such a compact machine!

Interview at Hill Top Circuit, Kawasaki, Kanagawa
 Atsushi Kawamoto (Team Kyosho International)
 and Jiro Higashino

■Awkward silence, then smiles…

Higashino:
This is your first look at the finished product, what are your first impressions.

Kawamoto:
Absolutely amazing. I'm lost for words. I've seen some photos but after seeing the finished product, I really am surprised. I was impressed with the likeness of the electric version to the 1/8 Inferno, but this time it truly is a Half-8 version with racing engine. I am really lost for words. (laughs)

Higashino:
We never lost sight of the 1/8 Inferno when developing this model, even down to the suspension and 4WD drive system. I thought you would be pleased with that.

Kawamoto:
From the engine to the transmission, center shafts and swing shafts, the drive train layout is just like the 1/8 Inferno. You even reproduced the shape of the knuckles and hubs. Its obvious its not just a scale model because I can also see it how it will function. You've done well to incorporate the design of the 1/8 with some unique features as well. Due to the size, I can understand why the servo layout is different to the 1/8, but it is better this way to avoid any trouble. Compared to the electric version, I think the wheelbase is a little longer and the body shape is slightly different.
