■Testing the Limits!
Kawamoto:
There's enough of power even at the bottom end. As I open the throttle up I can feel much more power. It feels like the car is responding to the torque. Response is great too. Is it really only a 09?
Great! It extends right through to high RPM. A really wide power band.
Higashino:
Generally speaking, how is the control?
Kawamoto:
Just like I'm driving a 1/8 buggy. This race track is for 1/10 scale, so other than the perspective of the track, there is no real difference. Its an incredible feeling. Small machines feel different when you switch them ON/OFF, but this machine drives well at medium throw. This is a great thing. I haven't even taken it to the top, but I can still drive how I want with the throttle. But its not all flattering, there are a couple of points of concern. How to settle the machine to run over surfaces with a lot of ups and downs. It depends on the grip, but I wonder how effective the stabilizers are.
Higashino:
These can be addressed through setting changes. How does it compare to the 1/8 Inferno?
Kawamoto:
I was worried you would ask me that question. Its difficult to compare because the size of this machine is a 09. But its a very close run thing as this machine is very controllable, like a 1/8. For example, you can control the drift angle at partial throttle, just as you can with a 1/8 buggy. I suspect that drivers of 1/8 buggies would be amazed at the similarity. It makes you want to get it and play around with the settings. Just like a real racing machine.

Higashino:
Can you take it over some jumps?
Kawamoto:
Control through the air is excellent. You can work the posture with the brakes and steering. You could learn how to manage the chassis posture against counter-torque and the gyro effect. This can be a great training machine. With this great performance and control I would recommend this machine to anyone getting involved in 1/8 buggy racing.
