PLAMODEL RADICON SHOW 2005

SHOW REPORT

Flight demos produce air action aplenty!

The flying models also showed their amazing capabilities. The EP Caliber M24 and 400 each demonstrated their powerful flight and sharp control with their whisper quiet electric power. This was backed up with the EPP Sukhoi that zipped all over the flight area. Simultaneous demonstration of both helicopters and airplanes was a major highlight. Torque rolls and 3-D stunt flying had the crowd enthralled. Also, the crowd-stopper of the last hobby show, the R/C Paraglider made another appearance with its graceful mid-air ballet. This was particularly popular with female spectators and many patrons expressed interest in wanting to buy one to take home.
The demonstration area also featured a huge pool for water models. Onlookers were treated to some racing action with the Mini-Z Formula Boats. No one could believe that such speed and control was possible in boats of this size. This was a truly must-see event!

This is the much talked about pool where the Mini-Z Formula Boats produced their incredible speed during the demo race to the amazement of the spectators.

The 50-size version of the Oxalys that has just achieved its fourth consecutive World Championship victory was of course very popular as well. The Oxalys, together with the new EP Cessna announced at the show, drew plenty of attention, as did the full product range of the Caliber 400 series in the helicopter section. Optional motors were there to satisfy the growing interest in the latest brushless motor technology that was magnificently demonstrated in the new blue EPP Sukhoi. The lift in performance when the optional brushless motor was mounted was clear, particularly for torque rolls and 3-D stunt performance.
